About GeneaRoute
Flygon LC built GeneaRoute to make serious family research faster without turning uncertainty into false certainty. It combines a private tree, portable GEDCOM, public-source routing, research workbenches, and agent-ready interfaces in one evidence-first system.
Why it exists
Large family trees are collaborative knowledge graphs, but their claims often arrive through imports, copied profiles, hints, memories, and automated tools. GeneaRoute treats each of those as evidence to review rather than permission to overwrite a family record.
The result is a workspace where a beginner can start with one relative, a working genealogist can turn an exact evidence gap into a journal-aware online and offline research itinerary, ask a source-bound question, or organize a proof argument, and a developer can use a normalized API or hosted MCP server. The same safeguards apply in every interface: preserve provenance, keep living people out of public results, expose provider failures, and require human judgment for identity and tree-changing decisions.
GeneaRoute is operated by Flygon LC. Product status, plan limits, connected-provider availability, and known approval requirements are published plainly. An unavailable connector is not presented as live.
The operating principles

Conflicting claims and possible duplicate identities should be reviewed, not quietly blended. Comparison tools organize the evidence while the researcher records the conclusion and reason.
Living people, uploaded files, private GEDCOM data, DNA match metadata, and research notes remain in the customer workspace unless the customer deliberately shares a filtered view.
An agent can search, analyze, and stage work. It cannot approve its own tree-changing batch. GeneaRoute preserves the exact proposal, source key, content seal, citation gaps, reviewer, and decision.
GeneaRoute supports GEDCOM 7, GEDZIP, and GEDCOM X JSON export, account-level JSON export, OpenAPI, CLI access, hosted MCP tools, source-linked dossiers, and downloadable research packets. The public connector schema and developer tools make the system useful beyond its own web workspace.
